Most times the Architect will specify a different flashing detail at the bottom of the wall where it meets the slab or the lintel above an opening. The drawings will need to be examined carefully for these details and things should be scheduled accordingly. Often the subcontractor who will do the exterior will want to proceed as soon as he can and forgetting the proper scheduling of flashing work can cause problems. This detail should be clarified with the Architect so that no potential leaks will happen later, because the details involve too many delicate details in this case, and not all arhictects draw all the details correct, especially something that involves many different elements such as these. A meeting or at least a conference call between the Archittect, the brick layer and the exterior covering subcotractor will definitely help to clarify any potential issues.
