Installing rebar in tight form locations can be a very difficult task sometimes. If your rebar and formwork crew are coming from different companies, you must coordinate the sequencing of formwork installation versus the installing of rebar to make sure that at tight locations, the portions of the formwork will be installed after the rebar is in place. Of course the rebar cages can be made outside the form and then be inserted into the formwork, but there will be occasions that this method will not work. So the best way is to coordinate ahead of time with your rebar and formwork foremen so that there will not be any unnecessary disassemble of forms later. If this happens, be sure that your formwork contractor will charge you extra money. And it really doesn’t feel nice when you loose money just because you did not coordinate ahead of time.
